“The New Defenders Part One”

Scene 1: Inside Roger’s bedroom at night. We see the alarm clock reading 1:00 AM. In front of the clock is the Patrol Morpher. The Patrol Morpher starts to light up and sound. In walks Roger and picks up the Morpher and presses the button on it to open it.

Roger: Roger reporting.

Mr. Kirkright’s voice through the morpher: Roger I’m sorry to disturb you so late at night, but this is important.

Roger: I’m on my way.

Scene 2: On a street late at night. We see Roger driving his sports car. It soon pulls up to the Defender Force base.

Scene 3: Inside the command room of the Defender Force base. Mr. Kirkright is looking at one of the computer screen going over information. Roger walks in.

Roger: What’s the emergency Chris?

Mr. Kirkright: I’ve just gotten word from the planet Oron that Zintra and Deltron have been spotted.

Mr. Kirkright brings up some footage of the two aliens on the said planet.

Roger: Any word on what they are after?

Mr. Kirkright: A power cell. The building they are near is on of the main power cell producers for the planet.

Roger: Get the portal ready.

Mr. Kirkright: Okay, be careful Roger. I really wish you wouldn’t go at these things…

Roger: (interrupting) We’ve been over this before Chris. I don’t need a team.

Roger leaves the room. Mr. Kirkright begins inputting information into another computer system to prepare the transportation portal.

Scene 4: In the Zord bay. We see the five Defender Patrol Zords, in their smaller normal vehicle mode. Roger approaches the Defender Patrol Zord 1 and stops just short. He looks up to a glass window. Looking through the window is Mr. Kirkright. Mr. Kirkright speaks into a microphone.

Mr. Kirkright: The portal is ready.

We now see the wall that the Zords are facing turn into a multi colored transportation portal.

Now we see Roger standing with his morpher in hand.

Roger: “Engage, Defender Force!” (this is said while doing the morphing hand motions)

Cut to computer graphics of Roger being morphed into the Red Defender Force Ranger.

Scene 5: The Red Ranger is getting into his Zord and buckling in.

He places his mopher into its slot. With his right hand, the Red Ranger pulls a lever back. We see the thrusters in the back of the Zord engage. The camera shows the Ranger press down on the gas pedal. Finally, we see the Zord drive straight into the transportation portal.

Scene 6: Zintra and Deltron are walking around trying to find the location of the new experimental power cell. The rooms are lit for the night security crew.

Zintra: Are you sure we are in the right building?

Deltron: Dear sister, I never miss on my information.

Just then an Alien Security Guard turns the corner and spots the two aliens. Before he can draw his weapon, Zintra’s eyes shoot out stun beams and the guard passes out.

Deltron: Did you have to knock him out so quickly? I wanted to toy with him for a bit.

Deltron walks over and takes a key card from the security guards pocket. Walks over to a door marked “Experimental” and slashes the key card through the card scanner. The door opens and the two aliens walk in.

In the center of the room is a green tube sitting on a science table. This is the power cell. Around the Power Cell are blue laser beams.

Deltron: I’ll allow you to handle this dear sister.

Zintra walks over to a computer panel and holds out her right hand. From the palm of her hand come cybernetic wires that plug into the panel. The panel starts lighting up and then after a few seconds, the laser beams disappear from around the Power Cell.

Deltron walks over and takes the Power Cell in his hands.

Deltron: Isn’t it just beautiful.

Zeltra walks over to him: Indeed, just think of how much destruction we will be able to cause with this once we have input it into the Destructo Zord.

Deltron: Father will be most pleased.

Scene 7: Zeltra and Deltron are walking out the back doors of the Power Cell production facility, still at night. As the two aliens approach the doors we hear them speaking.

Zeltra: It won’t be long now before our family rules over the entire universe.

Deltron: Most definitely sis. Plus, it was sooo easy to get this Power Cell.

The two aliens walk out the back doors. Then their faces go into surprise. The camera now shows the Red Ranger standing beside his Zord.

Red Ranger: Then allow me to make your efforts more challenging.

Red Ranger pulls the Morpher out from behind him, hold it out with his right hand, press the button, the lights and sounds activate.

Red Ranger: Defender Force! You Are under arrest!

Zintra: Oh please.

Zintra pulls out a disc from behind her, throws it in the air. Then from the disc Crimites develop. The foot soldiers are hunched over at first but then rise up in a robotic fashion and stand ready for battle.

Zintra: DESTROY HIM!

The next few minutes are taken up by the fight between the Crimites and the Red Ranger. There is a lot of martial arts moves and high flying kicks. Half way through the fight the Red Ranger goes for his guns.

Red Ranger: Hyper Magna Lasers

The Red Ranger pulls out his blasters from his sides and begins shooting at the Crimites. The Hyper Magna Lasers do not fire actual bullet like shots, they fire out laser beams that hit the Crimites and send sparks out.

Shortly after the lasers are brought into the battle, the Red Ranger finishes off the Crimites. They dissolve into bolts and wires. Zintra and Deltron stand in anger since the foot soldiers have been beaten.

Zintra: If you want something done

Deltron: You have to do it yourself.

The Red Ranger stands with his lasers pointed at the two aliens. The two aliens hold out their hands. Deltron only holds out his right hand since the Power Cell is still in his left hand. In Zintra’s hands develop her Battle Staffs and in Deltron’s right hand develops his Battle Saber.

The two aliens now run at the Red Ranger, and he runs at them. They soon begin battling. The fight goes on for a brief while. Soon the Red Ranger gets in between the two aliens. The two send their weapons down towards the Red Ranger, however the weapons get caught in one another. The Red Ranger takes this opportunity. While he is ducked down under the clashed weapons, he crosses his arms to where they are pointing in opposite directions. The lasers are still in his hands. Before Zintra and Deltron can free their weapons, the Red Ranger pulls the triggers on his lasers. The blasts are shot out from the weapons and they hit the two aliens and send them flying backwards.

Deltron looses the Power Cell and the Red Ranger takes the opportunity. He places one of his lasers back into its holster, then he jumps into the air and grabs the power cell. When he returns to the ground he holds the one remaining Hyper Magna Laser out at the two aliens.

Zeltra and Deltron, now with some steam coming off of them, regroup.

Red Ranger: You’ve been beaten, surrender.

Deltron: You may have won this battle Red Ranger, but we have only just begun to fight.

Then the two aliens teleport away. The Red Ranger stares at the Power Cell as the facility security arrive.

Scene 7: Back at the Command Room of the Defender Force Base. Mr. Kirkright is working at his computer. The doors behind him open and the Red Ranger walks in.

Red Ranger: You were right.

The Red Ranger then de-morphs back to Roger.

Roger: They were after a Power Cell.

Roger sits down at a table as Chris gets up from his computer and walks over to the table.

Roger: I was able to catch part of their conversation; I believe they said something about powering their own Zords.

Mr. Kirkright: I’ll do some searching and see what I can come up with. You better get home and get some rest. Remember you have to break in the new Sandton Police Department recruits bright and early tomorrow morning.

Roger: You’re right, though I haven’t been sleeping that much lately. I already filled out my report. I’m downloading it to you from my Patrol Morpher.

Roger places his Patrol Morpher into a slot on the table. He presses a few buttons on a small key pad.

After a few short seconds, Roger gets up and prepares to leave. While walking out Roger states

Roger: I’ll see you in a few hours.

Mr. Kirkright: Goodnight Chris.

Then Roger walks out of the room and the doors close behind him.

Mr. Kirkright goes back to his main computer and talks to himself.

Mr. Krikright: That guy is going to burn himself out soon. The Defender Force technology was made for a team, not for one Ranger alone.

Scene 8: The camera shows the outside of the Alien Space Fortress. We hear Trananix’ voice.

Trananix: So you two failed to retrieve the Power Cell.

Scene 9: Inside the chamber of command room for the fortress. Trananix is sitting at his throne with Zintra and Deltron standing with their heads down before him.

Deltron: Our deepest apologies father. We did not know that the Red Ranger would be there waiting for us.

Trananix: YOU WERE BEATEN BY A MERE MORTAL AND HIS LITTLE TOYS!

Zintra: With all due respect father, the Crimites were unable to weaken the Red Ranger at all.

Trananix: EXCUSES!

Trananix walks past his children, they stay in place and still. Trananix walks over to the wall and looks out a window and looks at the Earth.

Trananix: However, the Crimites could use an upgrade. Deltron!

Deltron runs to his father’s side.

Deltron: Yes sir.

Trananix hands a small disc to his son.

Trananix: Install these upgrades into the Crimites.

Deltron takes the disc from his father and walks away.

Trananix: Zintra, go find Crystalox.

Zintra leaves the room.

Trananix is now alone in the room looking at Earth.

Trananix: It is time we take the fight to Defender Force directly.

Scene 10: It’s the next morning at the Sandton Police Department training facility. There is a line of six potential young men and women. They are all wearing their recruit uniforms. Roger is walking in front of the men and women, while going over his information on all of them. He is wearing his official police uniform. Roger soon realizes that there are four members missing from the line.

Roger: Anyone of you recruits know where these other four slackers are?

There is no answer.

Just then the four missing recruits come running into the yard. Enter James, David, Alison, and Karen. They quickly fall into their places in line. Roger is not at all pleased. Roger walks up to James. James is standing at attention like the other six recruits.

Roger: A little late aren’t you recruit?

David: Yes sir! I’m very sorry sir! We were stuck…

Roger: (interrupting) I DON’T TAKE EXCUSES RECRUIT!

Roger moves next to James who is hunched over trying to catch his breath.

Roger: Ah, is the baby out of breath, maybe some water would help him out.

James stand up straight and answers

James: Actually some water would go

Roger: (interrupting) YOU DON’T GET SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR BEING LATE!

Alison: Why don’t you take a chill pill jerk.

Roger turns and walks over to Alison. She is standing like a normal person would be standing in line.

Roger: What was that recruit?

Alison: I said, why don’t you take a chill pill, JERK!

Roger: YOU YOUNG LADY WILL LEARN TO SHOW SOME RESPECT TO YOUR SUPERIORS OTHERWISE…

Roger looks over and sees Karen applying some makeup to her face. He walks down to her.

Roger: Excuse me.

Karen stops looking in her little mirror and looks at Roger.

Roger: Am I interrupting your makeup appointment?

Karen: Well, actually you see my mascara started running from us having to…

Roger: THIS IS A POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY, NOT BEAUTY SCHOOL!

Scene 11: Roger continues to chew out the four late recruits. Meanwhile, Mr. Krikright is not far away. He is just out on a balcony of the Defender Force Base. He is watching the arguments between the four recruits and Roger. He also pulls up all the information available on these four young men and women, on his laptop computer. Mr. Krikright begins reading aloud to himself.

Mr. Krikright: Let’s see, James Marson. Expert in martial arts, straight A student, and training expert. David Andrews: young professional fix it guy, not much on the grades though. Karen Hueling: A computer guru and techno wiz. Hmm. And finally, Ms Alison Lanes, not much here besides saying that she is an outcast.

Mr. Krikright looks back at Roger, who is still shooting, and says

Mr. Krikright: Well, Roger should have quite the time with these four alone.

Scene 12: Back to the ground level where Roger continues his rampage.

Roger: All four have you have made the grave mistake of starting off on the wrong foot with me. I fully intend on making your lives as painful as possible over these next few weeks. You will learn to respect me as your superior…

Before Roger can finish his speech, there is an exposition heard about twenty feet away. Everyone around turns to see what it is. Out of the smoke walks Zintra and Deltron.

The camera cuts back and shows Rogers face.
