Kim Possible
“Suds in the Bucket”
By: Linear Ranger
Author’s Note: The following a just a quick song fiction I wanted to do. The song is Sara Evens’ “Suds in the Bucket”. I do not own Kim Possible or the rights to the song “Suds in the Bucket”, so please no lawsuits, this is just for fun.
It was calm summer morning. Kim was home in her back yard hanging some towels out to dry. You see Jim and Tim had done a little experiment on the washer and dryer, and well, it wasn’t in the best shape. It was about ten minutes after nine that morning when she heard a familiar vehicle engine pull into the front driveway. Kim ran to the front yard and sure enough there was her boyfriend, Ron Stoppable, in his old White Pick Up truck. The truck had been a graduation gift from his grandparents.
She was in the
backyard they say it was a little past nine
When her prince pulled up, a white pickup truck
Ron hadn’t been out of the vehicle for three seconds and Kim had already rushed up to her love and thrown her arms around him and was kissing him. Of course Ron returned the signs of affection, but Kim noticed something in Ron’s eyes, he was a bit nervous.
“Ron, what’s wrong baby?” Kim asked getting a bit worried.
Ron rubbed his right arm a bit and started, “Well…Kim…it’s just that…we’ve known each other since pre-k and we’ve been dating for over a year now.”
Fearful tears started filling up in Kim’s as she said, “Ron…are you breaking…”
Before she could finish, Ron’s eyes met with Kim and he hugged her and assured her, “No KP, in fact, it’s the complete opposite.”
Ron pulled back and got down on one knee and pulled out a small emerald box and opened it, revealing an engagement ring, “Kimberly Anne Possible, I can’t live another day without you by my side. Will you marry me?”
It was a good thing they were on the grass, because Kim lunged at Ron giving him the biggest hug he ever received and sending both of them flat onto the grass. This was quickly followed by a very passionate kiss.
After the kiss was done, Ron asked, “Is that a yes?”
“Yes, Yesss. YES!” Kim cried out wanting the whole world to hear her.
The two sat up and Ron put the ring on Kim finger. They stood up and looked at the ring, then looking deep into one another’s eyes.
Kim, still smiling and now with tears of joy, asked Ron, “When do you want to get married?”
Ron took his fiancé’s hand and said, “I’d marry you today, if that’s what you’d want.”
Kim grinned wide and said, “Then let’s do it.
Ron was a bit surprised, “Really?”
Kim nodded quickly, “Yes.” Then she quickly pulled the Kimmunicator out of her side pocket and brought Wade up of the screen.
“Hey Kim, hey Ron. What’s up” Wade greeted them.
Kim answered, “Wade, we’re going to need to call in a couple of favors. One from Las Vegas and another from one of the Jewelry stores we helped. Oh and we’re gonna need a lift to Vegas too, but keep this quite.”
Her folks should of seen it comin' it was only just a matter of time
Plenty old enough, and you can't stop love
Wade quickly got to work and promised to keep everything quite for the time being. Meanwhile Kim had run up to her room and packed a bag quickly. She also changed clothes into her blue long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and choker necklace.
Kim ran downstairs where Ron was waiting, “Ready?”
“Yeah, just let me write a quick note,” Kim said as she scribbled out a note and as they left the house, she stuck it on the door.”
She stuck a note on the screen door "sorry but I
got to go"
With that, the two lovebirds were on their way to Las Vegas. It wasn’t until about noon that day when Kim’s parents got home and had picked the twins up from a friend’s house that they found Kim’s note. Kim’s mom only had to work half a day at the hospital, and Mr. Dr. Possible had finished up all the work he could do for the day.
Kim’s parents were shocked and taken aback by the note. They quickly contacted Wade, and since enough time had passed allowing Kim and Ron to be over half way to Vegas, he told both of them why Kim and Ron left.
That was all she wrote, her mamma's heart was broke
That was all she wrote, so the story goes
The twins were a bit surprised, but not too much. They knew this was bound to happen some time. They could tell by how much Kim and Ron meant to each other. To be truthful, deep down, Kim’s parents knew it too, but they never thought it would happen this way.
Kim’s mom and dad were in the kitchen that night. Mrs. Dr. Possible was sitting at the breakfast table with a cup of coffee, though she hadn’t taken a single drink. Mr. Dr. Possible was just staring out the window out into the stars. Then he looked back into his photos in his wallet and saw a picture of Kim when she was just a pre-teen. She had just gotten her braces and had her hair in a ponytail.
Now her daddy's in the kitchen
starin' out the window, scratchin' and a rackin' his brains
How could 18 years just up and walk away?
Our little pony-tailed girl grown up to be a woman
Now she’s gone in the blink of an eye
She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hangin' out on the line
Kim
and Ron were already half way to Las Vegas.
Wade had gotten them a special self-driving limo that was being tested
by a luxury company. Kim and Ron had
saved the company’s factory from being taken over by Duff Killigan, he wanted
to turn it into a personal golf cart factory.
They
were sitting in their seats, well actually Ron was sitting and Kim was leaning
against him with her feet hanging out the open window on her side. She turned her head and looked up at her
love and said, “I wonder what the people in town are starting to say?”
“I
don’t know, but you know the word’s probably already gotten out,” Ron replied.
“Yeah,
shouldn’t be long before the entire Tri-City area knows about it,” Kim added.
“I
bet they’ll be pretty surprised. It’s
not everyday that a world famous teen hero jets off to get married,” Ron said
as he stroked Kim’s hair.
Now don't you wonder what the
preacher's gonna preach about Sunday mornin'
Nothing quite like this has happened here before
Well he must have been a looker, smooth talkin' son of gun
For such a grounded girl to just up and run
Course you can't fence time, and you can't stop love
Well,
Kim and Ron were right; word had spread very fast, in fact Jim and Tim had
helped spread the word via a mass e-mail.
So the entire city now knew. It
was the big news of the town, and it was most evident with the former Middleton
Cheerleaders who were in the beauty shop.
Now all the biddies in the
beauty shop gossip goin' non stop Sippin on pink lemonade
How could 18 years just up and walk away?
Our little pony-tailed girl grown up to be a woman
Now she’s gone in the blink of an eye
She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hangin' out on the line
Kim
and Ron were just a few miles away from Vegas now. Kim still had her bare feet hanging out of the limo window, but
now she had her head resting in Ron’s lap.
Ron brushed his hand along Kim’s cheek as he said, “I love you Kim
Possible.”
“And
I love you Ron Stoppable”
Kim
then leaned up a bit and Ron leaned down and they kissed. While doing so they officially arrived in
Las Vegas. This was evident by them
passing by the infamous sign. The limo
was taking them directly to the Las Vegas Las Vegas Hotel where a preacher
would be waiting for them in a ballroom.
She's got her pretty little bare
feet hangin' out the window
And they're headed up to Vegas tonight
How could 18 years just up and walk away
Our little pony tailed girl growed up to be a woman
Now she's gone in the blink of an eye
She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hangin' out on the line
She left the suds in the bucket and the clothes hangin' out on the line
Within
minutes of their arrival Kim and Ron were officially married by the preacher
pronouncing, “I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss…” But the preacher did not finish his
statement. You see, after the “husband
and wife” part got out of his mouth, Kim and Ron had embraced and locked into a
deep kiss.
The
next day on Kim’s website, Wade had uploaded a picture of Kim and Ron together
after their wedding. Everyone could
tell from the picture that they were meant for each other and deeply in
love. They were holding one another and
had smiles of only people in true love could have. Under the picture was a statement from Kim and Ron:
She was in the backyard they say
it was a little past nine
When her prince pulled up, a white pick up truck
Plenty old enough, and you can't stop love
No you can't fence time, and you can't stop love
Author’s Note: Well, what did you think? I’d thought long about doing a song fiction to this song. It’s just something I wanted to do for fun. Kim and Ron wouldn’t probably do something like this, but you never know. It was fun to write and I hope it was fun to read.
