Kim Possible
The College Years
“Birthday Bananaza”
By: Linear Ranger
It was a bright September afternoon, September
sixteenth to be specific. There were
some cumulus clouds scattered through the sky, but all together, the sun shone
its light over the entire Tri City University.
The new freshmen had been living on campus and attending classes for
about a month now, and were now settling into their new lifestyle.
Two of these freshmen were walking back to the Delta
Dorm Building on campus. Well, to be
correct, one young man was walking, while the other was rolling along in his
cyber robotic wheel chair his genius mother had constructed for him. These two were Ron Stoppable and Felix
Renton. Felix was in his wheelchair
wearing his purple Zombie Mayhem shirt, with its green flaming skeleton head on
the chest. His college books were in
his lap, sitting on his kaki cargo pants.
Ron had on a black t-shirt with a very familiar ‘no ghost’ logo on the
chest. Finishing off Ron’s wardrobe was
a dark red pair of shorts and his normal backpack on his back.
As the two were
walking back to their home dorm, their conversation consisted of the normal
class talk, the latest mission Ron and Kim had been on, but a new conversation
came into play.
As the two friends
started to pass by the Campus Museum, Felix stopped for a moment, turned to Ron
and asked, “So what ya doing for your b-day tonight?”
Ron stopped,
leaned against a tree in the middle of the sidewalk and answered, “Kim has kept
telling me to keep my plans empty.
She’s had some big surprise planned for quite sometime now. I’ve been trying and trying to find out what
this ‘surprise’ is, but I got nothin’.”
Felix grinned as
he glanced over to his right. He saw
the college museum with vertical banners hanging. These banners were meant to highlight the newest exhibit to be
added.
“Oh, I know what
the surprise is,” Felix said with a sly voice.
Ron, surprise,
asked, “Really? What?”
Felix motioned
with his thumb towards the banners. Ron
looked at what his friend was inferring.
The banners were green and displayed ancient monkey statues and other
primal items. The text on the
advertisers read, “Primal Primate Exhibition”.
Ron shuddered, and
Rufus popped out of Ron’s shorts pocket and squeaked, “Monkeys, phooey!”
While Felix was
enjoying a good laugh, at Ron’s expense, neither of them saw a certain
red-haired female walk up behind them.
“Felix, now you’ve
spoiled the surprise,” the voice said with tease in her tone.
The two friends
turned around to Kim standing there with a mischievous grin on her face. She was wearing black jeans with a white
t-shirt that had two intertwined flowers on the chest.
“Not funny Kim,”
Ron said, in his own serious tone.
“Ah come on Ron, I
thought it’d make a nice birthday date idea.”
“Oh yeah sure,
nothing like looking through a bunch of furry tree swinger junk to just make a
guy’s birthday complete,” Ron answered with sarcasm.
Kim giggled a bit,
walked up and put her hand on Ron’s shoulder as she said, “Okay, okay we’ll skip
the primates and go on with the other surprise.”
“Which is,” Ron
tried to get an answer for, while sporting his trademark grin and hopeful eyes.
Kim returned the
look with her own ‘not a chance’ look.
“If I told you,
then it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it.”
Ron started to
admit defeat as he said, “I guess so.”
But just then a new idea came to his mind. He reached into his pocket and pulled Rufus out. Ron put Rufus to Kim’s face and said, “Say
how about you tell Rufus, he doesn’t need to be surprised.”
Ron’s little trick
didn’t fool Kim as she said, “Rufus is in on the surprise too Ron.”
Ron’s face turned
to shock as he turned Rufus towards him, “Rufus!”
The Naked Mole Rat
just sat in the palms of Ron and whistled and acted innocent.
Kim giggled a bit
again and said, “Felix, you’ll have to excuse us now. Ron’s gotta get ready for tonight and I’ve got to put the
finishing touches on the ‘surprise’.”
“No problem,”
Felix said, “I’ve gotta get some studying done at the library. See you guys later.”
Felix then started
off, leaving Kim and Ron standing there.
“Come on Ron, we
need to get going,” Kim said as she turned to her boyfriend.
However, Ron was
concentrating on the Primate Banners.
“Ron?”
Ron snapped back
to reality and said, “Oh sorry KP. Um,
KP you promise the surprise isn’t the Primate Exhibit?”
Kim put both her
arms on Ron’s shoulders, looked him straight in the eyes, smiled and said, “I
promise Ron, you birthday surprise has nothing to do with the exhibit.”
Ron smiled as he
said, “Thanks KP. Okay, let’s go.”
With that the two
started off towards the Delta Dorm.
However, what Kim
and Ron did not happen to see, were a small group of creatures lurking in the
tree above them. Hiding in amongst the
green leaves of the tall tree, were about five or six small warriors. They wore black ninja outfits that covered
all of their bodies except their eyes, fury hands, fury feet, and finally their
tails.
The Monkey Ninjas
had been waiting and listening to the conversation going on below. Once Kim and Ron were a safe distance away,
the ninjas jumped down from the tree, landing silently on the ground and moved
off away towards the forest that surrounded the campus.
A short distance from the Tri City
University, a cave laid hidden deep within the forest. The secluded natural structure could only be
found if one knew what they were looking for.
Within the cave, the area was lit by lanterns, hanging from hooks
embedded in the stone walls. In the
center, a circular rug was on the floor, along with a strange creature sitting
on that rug. He looked human, but he
also had distinct characteristics of a monkey.
This man was, of course, none other than Lord Monkey Fist.
The man-monkey was
sitting in a meditating position. His
eyes were closed, his hands at his sides with thumb and ring finger
touching. He wore his normal ninja
wear. What lay around the man were
various ancient texts and scrolls. All
of these dealt with the same topic, ancient Mystical Monkey Magic.
Lord Fist had been meditating for
hours. However, his session was soon
interrupted. The small group of Monkey
Ninjas stepped into the glowing light of the lanterns. Though their ninja skills and techniques
kept them from being heard by the normal human hearing, they were not good enough
to escape that of a proclaimed monkey master.
Monkey Fist opened
his eyes to see his small army before him.
The ninjas bowed to their master, and remained in the bowing stance
until Monkey Fist was on his feet. Lord
Fist stood there, no expression on his face, his hands clasped behind his back,
and gazing at his minions.
“What have you to
report,” Fist said in his distinct accident.
The next sounds
heard where that from one of the Monkey Ninjas talking monkey speak.
After a few
moments of this chatter, the Monkey Ninja that had been reporting to his master
handed him a sheet of paper. Monkey
Fist took the sheet from the Monkey Minion and looked it over. The paper was a flyer for the Primal Primate
Exhibit at the Tri City University Museum.
One item that was highlighted was that of a stone monkey warrior
creature wearing some form of ancient armor.
“Excellent my
Monkey Ninjas. Tonight we shall
strike. Those foolish humans have no
idea what power lies under their noses.”
Another Monkey Ninja
got up a bit of courage to step forward and interrupt his master’s rant. The Monkey Master gazed in concentration as
his warrior explained something to him.
After the ninja completed his statements, Lord Fist gazed at the ancient
text hanging on the wall, that of the Mystical Monkey Monks.
“Ah yes Ronald
Stoppable, destiny has once again insisted in bringing us in yet another
conflict.”
Though a
dangerously evil smile started to develop on Monkey Fist’s face as he
concluded, “However, once I gain the power of the Primal Armor, not even young
Stoppable or his girlfriend Possible, will be able to stop me. But just in case, perhaps it would be wise
to prepare ourselves.”
Inside the dorm
room of Ron Stoppable, the young, or now eighteen year old, male was finishing
getting ready for the ‘surprise’. Ron
had changed into his bluish-green & black bowling style shirt, along with a
pair of tan cargo pants.
Ron was looking in
the mirror of his dresser as he licked his palm, slicked back his hair, and
said, “Booyah, I am the man.”
Though the slicked
back hair look did not last long as his normal cowlick sprung back into place,
quickly followed by the rest of this well-known hairstyle.
“Aw man.”
The squeaky mole
rat laughter was coming from the top of the dresser. Ron picked up his pet and held him in front of his.
“Uh hun yeah first
you keep this surprise from me, and now you mock me.”
“Heh sorry,” the
Naked Mole Rat replied.
“Come on buddy,
you can tell me about the surprise.”
The only response
Rufus gave, was him turning around Ron’s palms and shaking his head. Before Ron could continue any more begging,
a familiar knock came from the door to the room.
“Ron, you ready to
go yet?”
Rufus jumped up
onto Ron’s shoulder as he walked to the door.
Ron opened the door revealing the one and only Kim Possible. Ron’s girlfriend was wearing her white
t-shirt with red heart on the chest.
Finishing the montage was another pair of tan cargo pants. Kim stood there smiling and hiding something
behind her back.
“Hey KP, what are
ya hiddin,” Ron asked as he craned his head around to try and see what Kim was
keeping from him.
“Not yet, first
you weren’t trying to get answers out of Rufus were you?”
“Who me, nah no
not at all. I mean I would not want to
ruin the surprise KP.”
Though Ron’s
statements held no ground. For one
thing he couldn’t make eye contact with Kim as he stated his lie. Secondly, he rubbed the back of his neck
while stating the falsehood. Finally,
Ron did not see Rufus grinning and nodding his head to Kim.
“Riiiiggghhhhtttt.”
Ron then looked
over and saw his pet betraying him.
“Traitor,” Ron
hissed while trying to act tough.
However, Rufus just smiled and said, “Bye,” and then scampered back into
Ron’s pants pocket.
“Okay Kim, let’s
go then.”
“Not just yet,
first turn around.”
Ron shrugged his
shoulders, “Okay, and I’m looking at…”
Before Ron could
continue, his vision became total darkness.
His arms immediately went out in front of him and started feeling
around.
“Hey, what, huh,
what’s going on?”
Ron felt Kim turn
him back facing her.
“Sorry babe, but I
had to blindfold you to keep the surprise extra secret.”
“Uh huh, sure KP,
but uh how I am supposed to walk?”
Kim rolled her
eyes a moment and said with tease, “With your legs?”
“Okay, funny ha
ha.”
“Just take my hand
Ron, I’ll lead you.”
So Ron raised his
right hand out a bit. Kim took his hand
with her left. As they started to walk
away, Ron closed his dorm room door with his left hand.
The first thing
Ron was able to tell, from his other senses, was that he and Kim had made their
way to the dorm elevator. This fact was
evident by the ever-present elevator music.
Next, Ron could tell they were going down, due to the lunge of the
elevator.
“So we’re going
down in the elevator,” Ron stated.
Kim giggled a bit
and said, “Captain Obvious returns.”
After a few
seconds, the device reached the ground level.
The doors opened and released their small ‘dinging’ sound. Kim, still holding hands with Ron, led him
out and into the main entry of the Delta Dorm.
Kim walked to the entry & exit doors, pulled one opened and the two
set off outside.
Though Ron could not see the moon hanging in
the night sky, he could hear the crickets out chirping. Kim continued to lead her boyfriend along
the sidewalk, which was lit by lampposts.
“And we’re
outside,” Ron started.
“Yep,” Kim quickly
answered.
“Remember, NO
MONKEY MUSEUM.”
“Ron, I promise,
there will be no monkeys tonight.”
After a few
minutes, Ron could tell that they had come up to another set of doors to go
through. This time however, they were
entering a building. Kim had done the
same as she had as they left Delta Dorm, only this time she held the door open
and they entered the building. Once
inside, they took a few steps over to the left, and Ron heard another elevator
‘ding’.
The doors to the
new elevator opened and the couple entered.
Ron felt this elevator start upward.
“Oookkkkaaaayy, so
we’re in another elevator.”
“Becoming a
regular Sherlock aren’t ya,” Kim said with a loving grin.
Ron turned his
head to where Kim’s voice had come and said, “You’ve having a lot of fun with
this aren’t you?”
“Just a bit yeah.”
Moments later, a
final ‘ding’ sounded, the doors opened, and Kim led Ron out. They walked about ten feet into the room and
then stopped. Ron felt Kim let go of
his hand. Kim went around to Ron’s back
and untied the blindfold.
“Okay birthday
boy, you can look now.”
Once the blindfold
was removed, Ron opened his eyes, but to his surprise, he still couldn’t see
anything. Though he knew he could see
clearly, the room he was in was completely dark.
“Uh, KP I still
don’t see anything.”
“Oh, sorry babe.”
The lights to the
room were flicked on quickly, actually too quick for Ron’s eyes.
“Aahhhh,” Ron
yelled as his eyes had to try and adjust to the sudden burst of instant
light. He covered his eyes immediately,
but after a few seconds, he managed to slowly remove them and look in front of
him.
What Ron saw
before him was Kim, along with Rufus, Monique, Felix, and the hologram
projection of Wade. They were all in
the dinning hall of the university.
Plus, there was a dinning table with a lit birthday cake and a large
pile of wrapped presents.
As he finally was
able to get a clear view of everyone and everything, he jaw dropped open as everyone
in the room yelled, “Surprise! Happy
Birthday Ron!”
Ron just stood
there in awe for a few moments. His
mouth was still hanging open. Kim
walked over to the birthday boy and put a party hat on his head and gave him
peck on the check, “Happy Birthday Ron.”
Ron came back to
earth as he smiled, turned to Kim and said, “Thanks KP.”
“No big, now let’s
get down to business.”
“Yeah, you’ve got
some presents to open,” Felix added.
“And plenty of
cake to go around,” Monique said.
Rufus was already
sneaking up towards the white iced cake, his mouth watering.
“No Rufus,” Kim
voice commanded, “Not until Ron’s opened his gifts.”
“Phooey,” Rufus
said as he plopped himself down on the table.
Ron walked over
and took a seat at the head of the table.
Kim and Rufus sat to his left, and Monique and Felix sat to his
right. Wade’s hologram projection of
himself was at the other end of the table.
All of them were now wearing party hats and a wide array of wrapped
birthday gifts lay before Ron.
“Thanks guys, this
is great. I just wish my fam could have
been here too.”
“Oh, I’ve got that
covered too,” Wade said with a grin.
Just then another
hologram projection came online. It
showed Ron’s mom and dad sitting in their kitchen.
“Happy Birthday
Son,” both of them said.
Ron was happy to
see his parents for his birthday, “Thanks Wade, this rocks.”
“Sorry we can’t be
there in person hun,” Mrs. Stoppable said.
“I’ve got a big
business trip tomorrow and we’ll be gone for a while son,” Mr. Stoppable
explained.
“It’s fine dad. It’s just good to see you.”
“Go ahead and open
you present from us son,” Mrs. Stoppable said, “It’s the green one Kim.”
Kim reached to her
left and took hold of the box wrapped in green wrapping paper. She handed it to Ron and he quickly began
unwrapping the present. After a few
seconds, the wrappings were gone and the package was revealed to be a state of
the art Digital Camera and Printing Station.
“Wow, thanks
guys. This is awesome.”
“You’re welcome
son,” Mr. Stoppable said.
“We figured you
needed a new camera to keep your scrapbook up to date,” Ron’s mom explained.
By the time Mrs.
Stoppable had finished her statement, Ron already had the camera out of the box
and was putting batteries inside it.
“Let’s try it
out,” Ron said with a grin.
Ron then started
taking pictures of everything. He took
some shots of everyone at the surprise party.
A few of Rufus, who was still trying to sneak a piece of cake. Then Ron handed the camera to Felix and
said, “Hey, take a picture of me and Kim.”
Felix took the
camera and looked through the viewer.
Ron stood there with his and Kim’s arms around each other’s waists, and
they both had mischievous grins on their faces..
“Three, two, one…”
Felix said.
Then just before
the camera flashed, Ron turned to kiss Kim and Kim turned to kiss Ron. Neither of them was expecting the other to
do the exact same. Their eyes were
first surprised, but after a moment they enjoyed the kiss. Felix took the picture at that moment.
“That’ll be one
for the books,” Monique added.
Everyone laughed
at Monique’s statement, while Kim and Ron blushed.
After the friends
and family were through laughing, Ron’s mom said, “Open the gift from your
Grandma next, I think it’s in blue and white.”
Again, Kim
searched the table, but this time she not only found one box matching the
description, but two. But not only were
the gifts wrapped the same, the size and shape of the boxes were identical as
well.
“Uh, Ron would
your Grandmother have sent two of the same gift?”
Ron looked a bit
confused as he said, “I wouldn’t think so.”
“Check the tags
Kim,” Monique suggested.
Kim looked at one
tag and read out, “From Grandma.”
“So who’s the
other one from,” Ron asked.
Kim read the other
tag, sighed and said, “Nana.”
“Your Nana sent me
a present, cool.”
Kim handed both
gifts to Ron, but the one from ‘Grandma’ first. Ron made quick work of the paper, but then had to pretend to be
pleased. Ron pulled the item out of its
thin rectangular box, “Wow, a sweater, just what I needed. Tell Grandma I said thanks Mom.”
“Now hun, you know
your Grandma only wants you to stay warm.”
“Sure mom,” Ron
said as he rolled his eyes.
“We need to get
going son, we need to get our rest for our trip tomorrow,” Mr. Stoppable said.
“Sorry we can’t
stay longer Ronnie,” Mrs. Stoppable added.
“I understand
mom. Thanks again for the camera.”
“Love you son,”
both parents said.
“Love you too,”
Ron replied and then the hologram of Ron’s folk flicked off.
“Thanks for that
Wade,” Ron said,
The young genius
just shrugged and answered, “No big.”
“So what’s the
next present,” Ron asked with anticipation.
“Here, open mine
next,” Felix said as he handed Ron a box in purple and black paper.
Ron open the gift
and let out a loud, “BOOYAH! It’s a GBG!”
“A GBG,” Kim asked
confused.
“That’s way fly,”
Monique stated.
“Too cool,” Wade
added.
“Thought you’d
like it,” Felix said.
“WHAT IS A GBG,”
Kim had to shout to get attention.
Ron laughed a bit
and said, “It stands for Game Box Go. It’s
a portable game system.”
“It’s a video game
thing,” Kim said dryly.
“Not just any
video game thing KP. The GBG is the
latest and greatest portable gaming system to go on the market. Now I’ve got something fun to do on our way
to missions.”
Kim gave Ron a
look and said, “And being with your girlfriend and talking to her isn’t fun?”
Felix, Monique,
Wade and Rufus all said, “Ooooooooooooooh.”
Ron grinned and
laughed nervously before he said, “Uh that is to say, umm, that, uh, it will
only add to the fun I already have when we’re on our way to the
missions.”
“Nice save,” Kim
said smiling.
“Okay B-Day Boy,
mine’s next,” Monique said handing Ron a yellow wrapped gift.
He torn into the
paper and said as the gift revealed itself, “Cool, the entire Fearless Ferret
TV Show on DVD. Thanks Monique.”
“Just so long as
you don’t go around as the Ferret Wonder again,” Monique added.
“No problem.”
Next, Rufus came
running up caring a small, thin square gift, “Here.”
Ron took the green
and white present from his pet and said, “Thanks buddy.”
After a couple
quick moments, Ron said, “Awesome the new Oh Boyz CD ‘Famous’. Thanks Rufus.”
“No big,” Rufus
squeaked.
“My gifts for you
should be arriving now,” Wade said as he looked at a digital reading on his
systems.
“Arriving,” Ron
asked.
But before Ron
could wonder any more, the elevator dinged once more. The doors opened and Ron’s blue scooter flew in and then landed a
few feet away from the table. Everyone was
in awe of the new scooter.
This was no longer
the old and busted scooter Ron had had back in April. Now the scooter was sleek and more aerodynamic. It was in a bright metallic blue paint
now. Plus, it looked like Wade had
added quite a few new features to the motor vehicle.
“Say hello to the
Roninator Mark One.”
Everyone had
gathered around the scooter and was looking at it and all it’s glory.
“Wow this is too
cool,” Ron said.
“Oh, but that’s
not all,” Wade said as he pressed a button on his control panel.
Just then, a small
section of the seat of the scooter popped open and a small wrapped gift popped
out. Ron caught the present, though
clumsily as the catch was. As Ron
unwrapped the gift, Kim smiled since she knew what the gift was.
“Kim asked me to
whip this up for you too,”
Ron gasped as he
pulled the device out of the box, “My own Kimmunicator!”
“Correction,” Kim
started, “Ronnunicator. You can call
me, or beep me. Ya know, if ya wanna
reach me.”
In Ron’s hand was
another new ‘Ronnicator’. It was designed
exactly like the new Kimmunicator, but the main difference was that Ron’s was
done in a metallic red and white paint scheme.
“Thanks Wade,”
both Kim and Ron said together.
“Rewind a sec
here,” Monique started with a confused look, “You two live next door to each
other. You have every single class
together. And you both go on missions
together. When exactly is Ron ever that
far away from you?”
Kim thought for a
moment and Ron said, “Well, you never know.
We might need to split up on a mission.”
“That’s true,” Kim
said.
“Okay, only a few
more gifts to go Ron,” Felix stated.
Everyone walked
back over and took their seats at the table.
“The gifts from my
fam are next,” Kim explained, “Wade, can you patch mom, dad and the tweebs
through?”
“Done and done,”
Wade answered as he pressed another button on the control panel. Then Kim’s mom and dad showed up as a
hologram projection, just like Ron’s parents had before. Actually, all that was being projected was a
close up view of Mr. Possible’s tie.
“Hunny, are you
sure you connected everything correctly,” Mrs. Possible’s voice said.
“Well, I think
so. I can put this in orbit, so I think
I connect a simple camera feed,” Mr. Possible tried to defend himself.
“Hi mom. Hi dad,” Kim said getting her parents
attention.
Mr. Possible
stepped back and the hologram projection showed both of Kim’s parents sitting
in their living room.
“Hello Kimmie,”
Mrs. Possible said.
“Hi Kimmie-cub,”
Mr. Possible added in, though causing Kim to blush a bit.
“Happy Birthday
Ron,” both of them said together.
“Thanks Doctors P
Squared.”
“Kimmie, our gift
for Ron is in the white box with the blue ribbon,” Mrs. Possible explained.
“Got it mom,” Kim
said as she took the thin box and handed it to Ron.
Ron removed the
ribbon and opened the box to reveal a book entitled, “The Master Chef
Cookbook.”
“Thanks Mr. and
Mrs. P. This is great.”
“Your welcome
Ron.”
“Kimmie, hand Ron
the give from Nana next,” Mrs. Possible instructed.
“Already got it
Mrs. P.”
Ron pulled the
other blue and white wrapped gift out and held it up for the Possibles to
see. He then started to unwrap the
gift, and after a short time, it was shown that not only was the gift-wrapped
exactly the same as the one from his Grandma, but the gift itself was the
same. It was another sweater, exactly
like the one before.
“Wow, a sweater,”
Ron started trying to act pleased, “tell Nana I said thanks.
Just then Jim and
Tim ran into view.
“Now open,” Jim
started.
“Our gift,” Tim
finished.
“We made it ourselves,”
both of them said together.
As Kim handed Ron
the present, she turned to Wade and said, “You might want to have the fire
department on standby just in case this gift blows up.”
“Hey! We heard that,” the twins said.
Ron opened the
present and then pulled out, what looked to be just another normal belt for
pants.
“It’s…a belt,” Ron
asked a bit confused.
“Oh it’s not,” Jim
started.
“Any normal belt,”
Tim finished.
“It’s an anti fall
belt,” Jim began.
“Guaranteed to
keep pants from falling,” Tim concluded.
“Total score,” Ron
exclaimed, “I’ll give it a try now.”
As Ron reached for
the belt he had on, Kim tried to stop him by saying, “Uh, Ron maybe you wanna
wait until…”
But before she
could finish, Ron had his old belt off, and since he had no hold of his pants,
they feel down to his ankles. Kim held
her head in her right hand, embarrassed for her boyfriend. Ron blushed bright red as he reached down to
pull up his pants. Meanwhile everyone
was having a good laugh.
While everyone was
still laughing, Kim looked onto the table and realized that all the presents
had been unwrapped.
“I thought I
brought my gifts in this afternoon,” Kim thought to herself.
As Kim started to get up, and everyone’s laughter
was dying down, an alarm sounded in Wade’s Command Center style room. The laughter was now void from the
room. Kim and Ron ran up to a few feet
from Wade’s hologram.
“What’s the sitch
Wade,” Kim asked.
Wade looked over
some of his monitoring screens.
“The University’s
Museum’s Security Systems have been tripped.”
Ron’s eyes went
wide as he said, “You mean the Monkey Exhibit?”
“Looks like it,”
Wade said, still looking over his data.
“We’re on it
Wade,” Kim said.
Kim and Ron left
the party and made their way to the side of the museum. They were hidden in the shadows of the
building. They both leaned around to
see the glass entrance doors of the structure broken.
“I don’t like
this,” Ron whispered.
“I know, it
feels…” Kim replied.
“Trapish,” Ron asked.
Kim looked at Ron
as she said, “Again, that’s not a word, but yes. We better suit up.”
“Right.”
The two stood up
straight, pressed the faces of their watches and quietly said together, “Battle
Up.”
As always, the faces on the watches rose up
a slight bit and began releasing millions of tiny nanobots. Ron’s being red and white, and Kim’s were
blue and white. The bots began covering
their entire bodies. Within a few short
seconds, the nanobots had covered the teen’s bodies from the neck down. Then with the normal small pop sound, the
techno wonders merged together as one piece and formed the Battle Suits for the
two heroes.
The two made their
way into the building and were tiptoeing through, still thinking that whomever
that had broken in might still be inside.
They made their way into the central exhibit room that contained all the
pieces for the Primal Primate display.
The evening lighting allowed Kim and Ron to see most of the items in the
room, but strangely enough, it did not look as if anything had been disturbed
or stolen.
“This is just wrong,”
Ron whispered as he was looking around.
“I know,” Kim
said, “Why would someone break in and not take anything.”
“No, I meant all
this exhibit about freaky furry tree swingers.”
“Ron, could we
stay focused here.”
“Sorry KP, so what
do we do next?”
“I’m not sure,
nothing seems to be disturbed.”
“Yeah, and it’s
too quite in here.”
However, what Kim
and Ron did not see was the team of Monkey Ninjas waiting for their moment to
strike. They were hanging by their
tails, onto the rafters of the ceiling.
This soon changed though, as Kim and Ron took a few step further into
the room, the ninjas released themselves and fell gracefully to the floor. Kim and Ron were taken by surprise as the
Monkey Ninja fell into place and surrounded them.
“Monkey Fist,” Kim
said with a bit of annoyance, “Saw that one coming.”
“Bring it furry
freaks!”
The battle began,
each teen taking on about three Monkey Ninjas.
Kim’s foes formed a triangle around her and started by all three of them
doing tornado kicks towards her. Before
any of them could make contact, Kim did the splits and ducked down below the
attackers. The next attack the monkeys
tried was all three of them doing a flying kick, in unison, towards Kim. The teen hero crossed her arms created a
force field around herself that as soon as the ninjas struck the barrier, they
were thrown back. Finally, the ninjas
stacked themselves onto of one another and started towards Kim. But again, Kim was ready and she went on the
offensive. Kim got in a crouching
position, with her right leg stretched out ready for a leg sweep. As the ninjas neared, Kim began spinning at
a rapid speed. Then, once the tower of
Monkey Ninjas got within distance, one at a time, the tower fell, from the
bottom up, as Kim spun around sending out three rapid leg sweeps. Each ninja was sent crashing against the
wall and they stayed there.
The Monkey Ninjas
Ron had to deal with however, took a more individual approach. The first ninja to take Ron on tried a
battle of hand-to-hand combat. With
each attack the monkey attempted, Ron was right there to block him with an
arm. This went on for a time, until Ron
decided to fight back. As Ron blocked
one attack, he sped up faster than anyone could see, and then delivered a
tornado kick to the attacking Monkey Ninja.
The monkey was sent into the same wall as Kim’s foes were. Before Ron could celebrate, the next ninja
took his place. This one tried to kick
Ron in the chest, but Ron managed to jump out of the way before contact could
be made. As soon as the foe landed, he
spun back around and started running straight towards Ron. Once he got up enough speed, the ninja
jumped and started flying at Ron with a flying kick. Ron decided to match his foe, he started running at the
ninja. However, after Ron got a good
start, he aimed his right wrist for the ceiling and fired a grappling line from
his wrist, and then went airborne at the same level of the monkey. Just before the two made mid air contact,
Ron shifted his weight and went to the side of the Monkey Ninja. This caused a deal of confusion, as the
ninja landed on the ground and looked back to Ron, but he was not there. Instead Ron was coming back around. Ron gone full circle and was coming back to
complete the circle. Just as the Monkey
Ninja turned around, he saw Ron’s foot make contact with him. He went right to the wall with the other
five passed out ninjas. As soon as Ron
landed and disengaged the line, he turned just in time to see the last ninja
coming at him through the air. Ron
moved slightly to his left to avoid the blow.
Just as the tail of the monkey started to pass by Ron, Ron reached out
and grabbed the tail. He then spun
around and threw the finale monkey to the wall with the rest of his friends.
With all six
Monkey Ninjas defeated, Kim and Ron regrouped at the center of the room. Ron dusted off his hands as he said, “Well
that was easier than expected.”
Kim was a bit
uneasy as she rubbed her chin and said, “Yeah, a bit too easy.”
“Or maybe we’re
just that much better,” Ron said with a confident grin.
“I’m not so sure
Ron, I mean…”
Before Kim could
finish her statement, a small black ball fell into the room.
“What’s that,” Kim
said with a small bit of panic.
“Not good!”
As Ron said, the
mystery ball was not good. After the
ball stopped, it then released a great deal of green smoke around Kim and
Ron. The two began coughing, from lack
of clean air. Once the heroes had
breathed in a few breaths, they realized what the smoke was. Their bodies were becoming heavy and
weak. They then fell to the ground and
passed out.
Once Team Possible
was incapacitated, Monkey Fist himself stepped into the evening light.
“So predictable.”
A while later, the
teens slowly began to regain consciousness.
Ron eyelids slowly lifted and he tried to focus on his
surroundings. As he slowly became more
aware, he realized that he lying in a rope net. He blinked his eyes and noticed that his net was about ten feet
off the ground and hanging from the museum’s rafters. The thought of Kim then came to Ron as he started jolting his
head to try and find her. It did not
take long though. Kim too was in a net
hanging from the ceiling; only she was about fifteen feet to Ron’s left.
Kim too was just
beginning to stir a bit.
“KP, you okay,”
Ron yelled.
Kim moaned and replied,
“Besides a killer headache, yeah I’m fine.”
Ron looked down
and saw the six Monkey Ninjas standing in battle ready fighting stances.
“What do you want
with us you tree swingers?”
But it was not the
Monkeys that answered, instead the Monkey Master himself stepped into the light
of night. Monkey Fist stood there
grinning as he said, “What I want is for you to not interfere with my destiny
in becoming the ultimate Monkey Master Warrior.”
Kim and Ron were
now shooting Fist looks that would scare any normal person.
“So what is it
this time Monkey Fist,” Kim asked in anger.
“I already told
you Ms Possible, I wish to become the ultimate Monkey Master Warrior. And once I harness the power of the Primal
Armor, I will be invincible!”
Kim and Ron looked
out ahead of Monkey Fist and saw a very strange set of armor. Though it was old, it did not look to be
damaged by time. There was a samurai
style helmet and then chest, leg, and arm armor. Perhaps most interesting of all, was the banana shaped talisman,
that hung around the neck of the faceless manikin wearing all the armor.
“The ancient
mystic text states, that once I place the Primate Banana Talisman around my
neck, under the crescent moon light, the armor shall come to life once more and
I shall be empowered with the force of the Primal Armor.”
The monkey minions
began jumping and chattering in excitement for their master. Meanwhile Kim and Ron looked at each
other. Ron made a ‘cuckoo cuckoo’
movement with his hand, to which Kim smiled and nodded her head in
agreement.
After the ninjas
finished their monkey cheers, Monkey Fist looked up and saw the crescent moon
come into clear view, thanks to the skylight.
“And now, let the
dawn of the Monkey Master Warrior begin!”
Monkey Fist
removed the talisman from around the manikin and placed it around his own
neck. He then moved into the full
moonlight, leaned his head back, closed his eyes and spread his arms out to his
sides. Then the crescent moonlight shot
down and struck the talisman. With this
part of the ceremony underway, Monkey Fist then began to glow a bright green
color. All six of his Monkey Ninjas
watched in awe, however, Kim and Ron decided not wait any longer for this show.
Kim and Ron looked
at one another and nodded, knowing what they needed to do. They both stiffened up their right arms,
forming glowing metallic blades of energy.
Together in a fluid motion, the two heroes swung their arms out, this
cutting the ropes of the nets and freeing themselves.
They landed on the
floor swiftly and Kim said, “Shows over Monkey Fist. The only new clothes you’re going to be wearing is a prison
uniform.”
Monkey Fist’s head
snapped back up and he commanded, “Monkey Ninjas ATTACK! They mustn’t disrupt the ceremony before its
completion!”
The ninjas spun
around and quickly jumped into action.
They all started attacking Kim and Ron with greater force than
before. They were not holding anything
back now, they meant to defeat Kim and Ron, and it showed. While Kim and Ron were able to stay toe to
toe with the Monkey Ninjas, it was started to wear on them. Plus, Monkey Fist and the Primal Armor were
both now glowing green.
As she continued
to block attacks, Kim called over to Ron, “Ron, you’ve gotta get outta here.”
“I’m not leaving
you Kim!”
“Ron, trust me. You have to get to my car and get your gift
out of the trunk!”
“KP, I really
don’t think this is the time for gifts!”
“RON, you have to
trust me. You’ll need what’s in the
trunk!”
“Okay, okay.”
Kim then quickly
pulled out her keys and threw them to Ron.
He caught them, did a few tornado kicks to clear him a path for the door
and ran for them.
“I’ll be back KP,
just hold on!”
With that Kim was
left to defend herself alone against six Monkey Ninjas, while the Primal Armor
was now glowing and starting to float over to Monkey Fist.
Ron was running as
fast as his legs and his suit would allow.
However, he had already spent most of the hyper speed energy in his
earlier fight. He finally got to Kim’s
black convertible, parked outside the Delta Dorm. Ron pressed the remote key device and the truck popped up. Ron reached down pulled the truck up. Inside the storage area lay two boxes, but
the one that Ron’s gut told him to open was the largest one. It was a long rectangular box, wrapped in
metallic red paper. Ron tore away the
paper in a matter of seconds. What then
lay before him put him in amazement.
There, lying in
the trunk of Kim’s car was one of the most powerful weapons Ron had ever seen,
and once held. Sitting inside its glass
case was none other than the Lotus Blade.
Ron leaned down, opened the case, and removed the saber. He held it in his hand for moment thinking,
“I…I…I don’t know if I can use this. I
mean…this is something meant for someone with greater power than I could
ever…” But Ron stopped himself and
closed his eyes, thinking, “NO! I am
powerful enough now. Sensei would not
have given this away if he did not believe in me. Most importantly, Kim believes in me. That’s why she got this for me.
She knew I could handle the power now.”
Ron opened his
eyes, smiled with confidence, looked at the weapon and said, “Hang on Kim, I’m
on my way.”
Kim had continued
fighting all six Monkey Ninjas without stopping. After a great deal of fight, she finally managed to beat all six
warriors. However, it was not done in
enough time. While she had been
distracted with fighting, the ceremony had completed itself. Monkey Fist now had on the entire ancient
Primal Armor and the talisman. However,
the armor now glowed with powerful green and black.
Kim turned just in
time to see Monkey Fist approaching.
She was breathing heavily, but still maintained a ready fighting stance.
Monkey Fist just
smiled as he said, “I’m sorry Kimberly, but your fight ends tonight.”
Fist raised his
right arm and a mystical staff developed out of thin air. His smile grew eviler and broader as he drew
his arm back and was about to strike Kim with the staff. But just as the staff was drawing down on
Kim, it came in contact with something else and was being held there with great
force.
Monkey Fist opened
his eyes and saw Ron standing there, but what he was holding surprised him even
more. Ron had blocked and stopped the
attack with the Lotus Blade.
“NOBODY ATTACKS MY
KP!”
Ron thrust the
blade upward and this forced Monkey Fist back, where he then had to regain his
balance. While doing so, Kim got up
beside Ron.
“Happy Birthday
Ron.”
“Thanks Kim, you
okay?”
“Now that you’ve
got the Lotus Blade, I’m fine.”
“Good, how about
you take a break and I’ll handle Fist.”
“Be careful Ron.”
“I will,” Ron
started, “Here, take Rufus and wait for my signal.”
Ron reached into
his holster and handed the Naked Mole Rat to Kim. She took the small pet in her hands and said, “Gottcha.”
Kim backed away a
bit to allow Ron some room to take on Monkey Fist.
“I don’t know how
you got that blade, but I do know you are not skilled enough to master such a
weapon.”
“We’ll just see
about that.”
The two Monkey
Kung Fo Masters engaged in battle. Each
one trying a number of different attacks; kicks, punches, weapon attacks. They were evenly matched though. Ron got in a few good hits on Monkey Fist,
but Fist got a few in on Ron. They were
going at one another with everything they had.
At some points they were running up the walls and then lunging off them,
towards their foe. Kim and Rufus just
stood there in awe of the pure strength and skill Ron was displaying.
“Ron Stoppable,
your interference ends on this night.
You will not keep me from my destiny any longer!”
The two combatants
charged one another and locked weapons.
There they remained for a time.
The two mystical weapons were glowing in bright energy.
Ron thought to
himself, “This is the best shot I’m gonna get.”
So Ron started
allowing Monkey Fist to overpower him and force the Lotus Blade down. Once the blade was almost at the floor, Ron
strained and held the locked weapons there.
“Any last words?”
“Yes. NOW KP!”
Kim sprang to
attention, as she knew Ron was about to act.
And he did, Ron, glowing in metallic blue, used all the strength he had
and forced the Lotus Blade upward with an incredible amount of force. The power of Ron’s attack was so great, that
Monkey Fist went flying into the air.
Kim knew this was
the time to act. She took Rufus into
her right hand, drew the arm back for a pitch, and then threw the pet directly
towards Fist. Rufus knew what he was
meant to do as well. Just as he started
to pass by Monkey Fist’s neck, he used his sharp bucked teeth to chop down on
the cord of the talisman, thus releasing it.
Ron saw the artifact come free and jumped into the air to meet it. As Ron approached the talisman, Monkey Fist
knew what was about to come, as he yelled, “NO!”
But it was too late;
Ron drew the Lotus Blade back and then swung down directly onto the Banana
Talisman. When the two made complete
contact, the talisman shattered into tiny pieces and went falling to the
ground. As soon as the necklace was
destroyed, the Primal Armor lost all its power. It ceased to glow and then fell completely off of Monkey
Fist.
Lord Fist himself
then fell to the floor and hit hard. As
he regained he composure and looked up, he saw Ron and Kim standing before him
with determination in their eyes. Then
a third member joined the party as Rufus landed on Ron’s shoulder.
“It’s over Monkey
Fist,” Ron said as he pointed the Lotus Blade at his arch foe.
The monkey man
gave a look of hatred as he said, “You may have won this battle, but we will
fight another day.”
Monkey Fist
quickly threw down a small gray ball, which then released a great deal of gray
smoke. This smoke however was not knock
out gas, but just a smoke screen. Kim
and Ron coughed a bit. After the smoke
dissipated, the two looked around and saw the Monkey Fist had managed to
escape. They also saw that the defeated
Monkey Ninjas were gone as well.
“He got away,” Ron
said a bit let down.
Kim put her hand
on his shoulder and said, “Yes, but you stopped him Ron.”
A smile returned
to Ron’s face as he said, “Yeah, I did, didn’t I?”
“Uh huh,” Kim said
as she gave her flirty smile and nodded.
Rufus agreed as
well as he gave a thumbs up.
After briefing the
museum personnel and police on what had occurred, Kim and Ron returned to the
dinning hall where the party had been.
When they got there, the wrapping paper had all been thrown away, but
Ron’s gifts remained, along with his cake and two paper plates. They both walked up to the dinning table,
they were back in their normal civilian clothes.
“Sorry you ended
up having to have monkeys on your birthday Ron,” Kim said.
“It’s cool
KP. At least it’s one birthday I’ll
never foget.”
“That’s for sure.”
“Ya want some
cake?”
“Please and thank
you.”
Ron then smiling
took the Lotus Blade and used it to cut two pieces of cake, and serve it out
onto the two plates. Kim just giggled
at Ron’s use of the blade, but still accepted the desert. The couple walked over to the windows and
looked out as they ate. Ron placed the
Lotus Blade on the windowsill. Rufus
stayed at the table to finally scarf down some cake.
Kim looked at Ron
and said, “Thank you for saving me tonight.”
Ron blushed a bit
as he said, “No big.”
“Wrong VERY
big. Ron you proved yourself to be a
great warrior tonight. You went toe to
toe with a rough squad of Monkey Ninjas and took Monkey Fist on all by
yourself. Not to mention you came up
with a smart plan to defeat him. You
have everything to proud of.”
“Thanks Kim, but I
gotta know, how did you ever get the Lotus Blade?”
“Well, it wasn’t
easy. I knew it was something powerful
and too many forces would want to get their hands on it, but I knew if you had
it, it’d be safe. I wrote a letter to
Sensei and sent it to him. That itself
was no easy task, do you know how hard it is to find an address for a secret
ninja school? But after Sensei finally
got my letter, the response I got was a package delivered by a ninja that
appeared and then disappeared as soon as he gave me the case.”
“Wow, thanks Kim.”
Ron finished his
cake and picked the weapon back up to look at it.
“But where am I
going to store this thing. I mean I
really don’t have any safe place to keep it.
The only safe place would be to just keep it with me at all times.”
Just then
something happened that neither of the two expected. The Lotus Blade glowed blue and began to shrink. Within seconds, the blade had decreased down
to the size of a two-inch version. Then
a cord developed and attached itself to the weapon, creating a necklace. It then floated and placed itself around Ron’s
neck.”
Kim and Ron were
in amazement of the events.
“Well, I guess
that will work,” Ron said looking at the new version of the Lotus Blade.
“I guess so.”
“Wait, wasn’t
there another present in the trunk of your car KP?”
Kim’s eyes grew as
she realized she forgot about the other gift.
She put her plate down and ran back to the table, where she had placed
the gift when they had come back in.
Kim picked up the square red package and walked back to her
boyfriend. She held it out for Ron to
take and said, “Happy Birthday Ron.”
Ron took his last
present and unwrapped it. Inside the
box was a heart shaped picture frame.
Ron took the frame out of the box and looked at it. The picture held within the frame was one
that was taken of the two of them the past summer. They were wearing their typical clothing; Ron in his jersey and
Kim her green top. They were holding
one another and had the looks of a couple that had been in love all their
life. Ron then looked at the frame and
saw words on each side of the frame. On
the lower left of the heart were the words ‘My Friend’. On the lower right were the words ‘My
Hero’. Finally, on the top of the heart
spread across the left and right were the words, ‘My Love’.
Ron had to fight
back a bit of tears, but Kim already had a few falling from her eyes. Ron looked deep into Kim’s eyes as he said,
“Thank you Kim.”
The two hugged one
another for a time. They broke apart a
bit, but still held each other. They
looked deep into each other’s eyes.
“I love you Kim.”
“I love you Ron.”
The two then
kissed each other and melted into the moment.
It had been a night that neither of them would ever be able to forget.
Author’s Note: So,
what do ya think? Yes, I know this
wasn’t as long as the first three episodes, but keep in mind, the first three
are really meant to be read as a movie style story, so they needed to be
longer. I enjoyed this episode a lot
with giving Ron the spotlight and writing action sequences with Monkey
Fist. Plus, it was kind of a challenge
to come up with all of Ron’s gifts, but I’m pleased with what I came up
with. I hope you enjoyed Ron’s gifts
and the story.
Thanks for reading.
