The "Rhino
Morpher", as everyone should know, is not really the Morpher Dominic uses
in the show. What this actually is, is the Control Dagger that the Rhino
Ranger uses to Summon & Control the Rhino Zord. But since this was
small enough to be packaged in the "Morpher" packaging, it was labeled
the "Rhino Morpher".
So let's begin with the morpher itself. In the Closed Mode, it measures about 7 3/4 inches from tip to tip, and just slightly over an inch in thickness. When you press the button on the top for sounds, you'll get the generic "Morph" sound. When you pull the blade out to switch it to Open Mode, you'll get a short "Clash" sound. In Open Mode, the morpher measures almost 11 inches long. When the sound button is pressed, you get a different & longer "Clash" sound.
A couple of cool points of the Morpher are the glistening dark blue paint on the handle. The thick handle makes it a good size for kids or collectors. Plus, the red orb areas on the blade actually have a rounded surface, instead of just being flat.
The Rhino Morpher also comes with a Rhino Ranger plate for the Solar Morpher. However, when you connect it to the Solar Morpher, you don't get any sounds or features from it. Finally, you also get a holster for the Rhino Morpher. The front of it is shaped like the Rhino Steel Megazord's shield.
This one was difficult to rate. It's not a Morpher, but it's still cool that we got the device that the Rhino Ranger uses to control his Zord. In some ways it is even better than it's Japanese counterpart. As I said before, the inch in thickness really helps make this toy better. The glitter style paint they used is cool, but can't be seen unless you see it in person. So when it all comes down to rating, I'll say that kids will enjoy playing with this & pretending they are summoning & controlling the Rhino Zord. For collectors, yeah this will probably make a good addition to your collection. If you like the Rhino Ranger, then this is a pretty good version of the Control Dagger. So I'd say it's a good buy for kids & collector alike.
