Claw Air Cannon

Rinshi, Dai Shi, & Camille Targets

Linear Review
Okay, so this is our team mega weapon for the year.  They took the Claw Cannon, made it into an "Airzooka" and released it with some Jungle Fury Villain Targets.  This should be interesting.

Okay, so for those that don't know what an Air Cannon or Airzooka is, it's basically a toy that when you pull a handle back and release it, it will shoot a puff of air out the front.  This is what the Air Claw Cannon is.  You pull the handle back and release it, and then a shot of air is pushed out.  The strength of the air shot is just enough to blow some airs around on your head, nothing major. From front to the back of the handle, the cannon measures about 15 inches, and is 5 inches around.  As you can see, you also get three villain targets that measure 4 3/4 inches in height

Now what's really bad about this, is the fact that A.  The Claw Cannon on the show fires out blast of energy, not air (so lights & sounds would have been better here).  B.  The Claw Cannon on the show actually has the mouth open to reveal the cannon, instead of always having the cannon portion revealed.  C.  If you had to give the show Claw Cannon a shape, it would be a long rectangle, not a short rectangle like the toy.  D.  For about $30, I think Bandai America could have done something better than this Air Cannon.

Well, this wasn't hard to rate.  Collectors are only going to want to buy this if they're a completest like myself, and even then they may still skip it.  For kids, I really think this may be the kind of toy that interests the kids for a few hours, and then they get bored with it.  Now granted if the kids have great imaginations & love Jungle Fury, then yes they'll probably enjoy this toy for a while.  But I think on average, this is one of those flash in the pan toys that runs out of fun by days end.  While I'm disappointed in the Claw Air Cannon, and upset to give it a low rating, everything else in the Jungle Fury toyline has been worth the money spent, so 1 bad toy out of 30 toys (thus far) isn't bad.  To sum it up, for collectors it's a no and for Kids it's a toss up.
