Ah, finally the Fall
Jungle Master Figures have arrived, though not quite as expected.
Okay, as you can see, these figures feature the Rangers in their new Jungle Master Mode Suits, except for Wolf & Rhino Rangers who are in their normal suits. The figures have the same articulation as the Spring Figures, except for their leg joints (some figures are loose & others aren't). But they are missing some paint applications. First is the missing white paint on areas of the helmets. Wolf Ranger is also missing some paint on his legs above the knees. The Elephant, Bat & Shark don't have the outlines on their colors. But the largest area is the backs of the figures. Since the back is the area reserved for the Jungle Tags to be placed, I guess it was decided to not put any details on the backs of the figures.
Moving onto the Jungle Tags. Each tag matches the Ranger's color and has their Animal Spirit on it. When you press the button on the tag, you get the roar or howl of that animal. But when you place the tag into the back of the figure, it then unlocks a unique morphing sound for each Ranger.
A main downside to these figures is the fact that they don't come with any weapons. I would have been great to have the Jungle Master Rangers have their Claw Booster Weapon, but we got the "Jungle Tags" instead. I really think it would have been better for Bandai America to have just placed the sound chips into the figures themselves, and then given us weapons with the figures.
Overall, these figures are still worth getting. No, they don't have paint on the back, but that's not that big a problem. It does hurt that they don't include any weapons. Some collectors have complained about loose legs joints, but only a few of mine seem to suffer that flaw. I think kids will enjoy these figures and fighting out battles with Dai Shi, just like on the show, along with the Jungle Tags. Collectors will still need to get these figures to help complete their Jungle Fury collection, but probably just stuff the Jungle Tags in a drawer. So a good buy for both kids and collectors.
