Linear Review
Ladies and gentlemen,
behold two of the best action figures to EVER be released by Bandai
America. The influence of the Adult Power Rangers Collector has finally
begun to sink in, and now we have these first two Collectible Figures to prove
it.
Let's begin with the Green Power Ranger figure. Based of the great original Green Ranger (Tommy), this figure uses the same great body sculpt as the normal male Jungle Fury Rangers. The Green Ranger comes with a removable, one piece Dragon Shield and Dragon Dagger. The cool part about the shield, other than being one piece that can slip on and off easily, is that it can be placed on the Jungle Fury Ranger figures too. Most all of the detailing on the Green Ranger is there. The only missing details are the Power Morpher & the Dragon Dagger Holster.
Lord Zedd, for one being the most accurate Lord Zedd figure ever released, is just as good, even though missing more details. Zedd comes with his Z Staff, though it's missing the arrow point at the bottom. All the front detailings are great and make him look spot on. The back is missing the paint details though, but can be added with some model paints. Zedd doesn't have as much poseability as the Green Ranger. His wrists & ankles can't move and his leg movements are a bit more limited due to his design.
Overall, these first two Collectible Figures are a MUST have for any Power Rangers collector. The only other minor problem with some of the figures, is that in the rush to get this figures produced, some of the paint detailing, specifically on the Green Ranger, got a bit messy. Some collectors have found that his glove paints are sloppy, there's white excess white splatter on his green chest, or some spill over black paint on the Dragon Shield. But these are minor and can be fixed by any die hard collector. Again, these are some of the BEST figures to ever be released from Bandai America, and I sincerely thank them for giving us, the Adult Collectors, these figures. Kids may enjoy these toys, but if they aren't familiar with how Power Rangers started, then they not be that interested. If they have seen the early episodes with Tommy as the Green Ranger, and much of Lord Zedd from Season Two & Three, then they would probably enjoy these.
One final thank you to Bandai America, and I can't wait for the White & Gold Ranger releases later in the year.
