Operation Overdrive Rangers Stand
Together

Linear Review
The first Five Inch
Figure Line for the Spring Line for Operation Overdrive. As usual,
these five inchers are the basic Rangers without any special armor or add ons.
So let's get down to business.
Each Ranger has a great deal of paint detailing, even the paint continuing onto the backs of the figures. Granted the muscles are a bit larger on the male figures this year, but I guess that's to be expected. Each Ranger come with a Drive Defender (The guys get the sword mode and the girls the blaster mode), an Overdrive Tracker, and a special weapon. The poseability for the figures is great as always.
The male figures have lights and sound features to them. You press the belt buckle and a game starts. You hear the engine revving sound, then the chest area and head light areas start alternating between blinking. If you press the buckle again while the head light is lit, then you win the game and the figure says something along the lings of 'good job. However, if you miss and press while the chest is lit up, then the figure says something along the lines of "try again".
Here's what
each Ranger says:
Red Ranger: If Game is Won, "Mission Complete". If Game is
Lost, "Try Again".
Black Ranger: If Game is Won, "You Won". If Game is Lost,
"Nice Try".
Blue Ranger: If Game is Won, "Good Timing". If Game is
Lost, "Not Quite".
The female figures don't have any sounds to them. All their light features are put in their bonus weapons, that are based somewhat on their in show weapons. The Rangers special weapons can be combined together. All the guys special weapons can combine alone to form one robot, but you can also combine all five special weapons (both from the guys and girls) to form another robot.
The Evil Space Alien has a small light on his face, that lights up when you press his belt buckle. His other special feature is his arms stretch. Though I really don't recommend stretching the arms too much, or they may break. He also comes with some armor to place on him, but it really doesn't look that great.
Overall, these figures are just as I'd hoped they'd be. Granted I wish each Ranger would have come with both a Drive Defender Sword & Blaster, but maybe they'll switch it for the fall five inch figures. The Evil Space Alien isn't much, be a must for the collection. So whether you're a kid fan or an adult collector, these figures are a must.
