Linear Review
The fall line of Five Inch Figures, that will be able to interact with the Mission Response Truck (released later in the year).  Plus, thank the Toy Gods that we got a good normal five inch Mercury Ranger.  So let's get down to business.

Okay, first I'll go over just the Mission Response Mercury Ranger.  Since Bandai American didn't release a normal 5 Inch Solaris Knight last year, they seemed to have learned their lesson this time.  The Mercury Ranger still features a Mission Response Chip in the center of his chest, like the other figures.  Now while the chip does still out a bit, it's not as bad as the other five Rangers.  Just to look at the Mercury Ranger figure, he fits in well enough with the 5 Inch Operation Overdrive Figures from the Spring line.  All the fine details are there.  He also comes with two weapons that combine to form the Drive Detector in Staff Mode.

Now, the other Mission Response Rangers come with Battle Armor on them.  The girls have the Defender Vest from the show, and the guys have cool looking combat armor.  These figures also come with new unique weapons.  The guys weapons can combine together to form another small robot.  The girls come with the Drill Blaster weapon (Yellow in Drill Mode & Pink in Tri Laser Mode).  The poseability of the figures is about the same as the normal 5 inch figures, but the girls can't hold the Drill Blasters to well.

The male figures have two different sayings to them, while the girls (yet again) don't have any sound.  The sayings are activated by pressing the belt buckles again.

Here's what each Ranger says:
Mercury Ranger:  "Kick It Into Overdrive"  &  "Go Rangers"
Red Ranger:  "Overdrive Accelerate"  &  "Drill Blaster Ready"
Black Ranger:  "Transformation Go"  &  "Slammer Time"
Blue Ranger:  "Go For It"  &  "Take That Flurious"

All the figures have Mission Response Chips in their chest, that when played with the Mission Response Truck (coming out later) will unlock new sounds and sayings.

The Sentinel Ranger (Sentinel Knight), Moltor & Kamdor are all very nicely done.  Each have a good deal of detail work on them, though missing some paint applications.  None of these three figures talk, they just have light up head features.  The Kamdor Figure, when you press the button to activate his light up feature, also switches him to his "Duel Mode".  The figures come with their own swords.  Sentinel Knight comes with a Sentinel Sword for the Ranger figures to use.  While Kamdor & Moltor come with their show accurate swords.

These three figures do activate sounds in the Mission Response Vehicle, but nothing to special.  Sentinel Knight just activates "Overdrive Ranger, Accelerate".  The villains cause an "Intruder Alert" to sound.

Overall, these figures are a pleasant surprise all around.  The five main Rangers with armor are really cool, if you're looking for Ranger figures that look combat ready.  But most importantly of all, the Mercury Ranger is a must have all around.  The chip in the Mercury Ranger's chest is easy to look past, and look great with the spring figures.  It should be interesting to see what all sounds and sayings the figures unlock with the Mission Response Truck later on.  But until then, these figures are a good buy for Kid and Collector alike, but again the Mercury Ranger is a must.
