Linear Review
Behold the Sentinel Sword / Warrior, the future key to Mack's Battlizer Powers.  Plus, one of the few toys to make their transition from Japan to America without a great deal of suffering.  So onto the review.

Okay let's begin with the "Zord Mode" as Bandai America calls it, though I prefer Warrior Mode.  In this mode, the toy stands about 10 1/2 inches tall.  His arms, not being spring loaded like his Japanese counterpart, can be posed easily.  When you press the button on his side for sounds, a "Devine" sound occurs.

The transformation to Sword Mode is very simple.  A few turns and slides and you've got it into Sword Mode.  Granted, the handle is not that long, so again for the adult collector you're standing there wishing for it to be just a bit bigger.  The Sentinel Sword seems very sturdy in Sword Mode, even more so that the Japanese counterpart.  Granted his arms don't lock into place, but they still stay there.  When you press the sound button, a sword clashing sound activates.

One special note here.  You'll notice that I've included a picture of the release tab for the Crown portion.  This is because, when you Morph from Sword back to Zord/Warrior Mode, sometimes the armor does not hit the release tab properly.  So the crown doesn't always pop back up.  This may just be the one I bought, and might not happen on all Transforming Sentinel Zords.  But incase yours happens to have the same problem, you now know which tab to press with your finger to get the crown to pop back up, before sliding the chest & arm portion up.

Overall, this is a great buy for kid and collector alike.  I know a lot of collectors were worried with how Bandai America was going to bring Zuban over, but I can tell you they did a really good job.  The orange paint is just slight different, and the only missing paint appears to be in the waist and shoes.  And of course the non chrome chest area.  I love how The Sentinel Warrior is poseable and not just stuck in toy solider form.  Again, the Sword Mode seems very sturdy, even without the arm lock feature.  It really is a great buy for only $20.  So I highly recommend this for both kids and collectors.
