The Battlizer Morpher for the year is now here, and as has become the pattern, it's a repainted Sixth Ranger Morpher.  So let's get to the review.

Okay, don't be fooled too much from the different paint and new face plate, the Sentinel Morpher has EVERY feature the Mercury Morpher has.  Yes, that means it has the EXACT same sounds from the Mercury Morpher.  From the Morph sound to the Zord Calling and Megazord Forming.  This is what really hurts this Morpher.  The only other difference is the new Command Screen with the Red Sentinel Ranger Head, Sentinel Knight Head, and Red Ranger Head.  

Had Bandai America put in sounds from the Transforming Sentinel Knight, along with one or two new sounds, this Morpher wouldn't be so bad.  But the fact that you have the sounds of the Mercury Morpher in the Battlizer is just wrong.  Also, you still have the decoder feature, which can be used on the three little Overdrive Decoding Chips that come with the Morphers.

The overall paint scheme isn't bad, since it is meant to go alongside with the Red Sentinel Ranger.  The Face Plate looks very nice, and I do applaud Bandai America for making a new plate.  Though since it was meant to look like the chest of the Sentinel Knight, I would have gone ahead and put a green jewel in the place where the Sentinel Knight face sticker is.

Overall, to look at the Sentinel Morpher when it's closed, you'd think that it holds some promise.  Even when opened, it doesn't look completely bad, thanks to the new command screen.  But when you turn it on, and everything is just like the Mercury Morpher, that's what really disappoints me.  So I guess if you wanted, you could just take the batteries out of the Morpher, and then imagine your own sounds for the Red Sentinel Ranger Morph Sequence.  For Kids, yeah they'll probably like the Sentinel Morpher, just for imagining them getting to Battlize.  For most Collectors though, they'll probably want to pass.  I do wish we would return to the days of a completely original Battlizer Morpher.
