Ron Wasserman's 
Mystic Force Theme Song Submissions

Well, the final decision has been made and Disney has decided to go with a different song, other that those pitched by Ron Wasserman.  First off, my thanks and appreciation to Ron for his hard work on both his Rock & Rap Mystic Force Themes.  Secondly, I would like to congratulate whoever did get the job for the Mystic Force Theme.  I shall keep an open mind for the new "power pop theme" idea.  My thanks also to Disney for allowing Ron to submit his themes for Mystic Force, and also using his S.P.D. Theme.

 Here is the timeline of events concerning Ron Wasserman and the Mystic Force Theme Song.

• April 11, 2005
  - - -Ron states that he'll be submitting a theme song for Power Rangers Mystic Force

• August 1, 2005
  - - -Ron delivers his demo Mystic Force Theme to Disney for review.  He stated on Rangerboard that he was really thrilled with what he sent to them.

• September 8, 2005
  - - -Ron hears back from Disney and posts on Rangerboard:
  
  "Looks like Disney wants to change the direction of the music. More of a "power pop rap" vibe for the theme and perhaps the score.
  
  Hmmmmmm......."

• September 9, 2005
  - - -Ron explains his own idea of the "power pop rap" idea on Rangerboard:
  
  "Kind of like the Black Eyed Peas for example....that would be power pop rap IMHO. Remember, this is just a direction they'd like to try out doesn't mean they won't go back to a rock theme.
  
  When I know for sure that they have absolutely 'passed' on the rock theme I did I will post it asap for everyone to hear because as I mentioned in some other posts, I was/am really really happy with way it had turned out.
  
  So, I'm going to give Disney's idea a shot next week....hopefully I'll be able to come up with something cool....(I hope) LOL!"

• September 21, 2005
  - - -Ron announces that his power pop rap version has been passed on by Disney:
  
  "Out of the running on my "rap theme" submission. (I think it was a bit too 'intense' for what they were looking for) So now the big question will be whether they go with the mystery rap version they did like from some one else, or go back to my rock submission they liked. We'll see.
  
  Probably be a month at least before I get final word now.
  
  To clarify what I meant by too intense. I believe that overall vibe in my version just did not end up having that Power Pop kind of light almost comical vibe that is out there right now. I hope this is clear."

  PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep in mind that my 'rap vocal' was simply a reference / guide and would have been replaced had they decided to go with this version.
  
  I sure hope they go with the rock version. It is SO MUCH better than this direction."

  - - -Ron announces that Disney has officially passed on his Rock Mystic Force Theme song as well.  He also provided a download link for everyone to listen to his submission for the Mystic Force Rock Theme.
  
  "Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
  
  Disney has decided to go with a rap-pop theme for PR Mystic Force...I just got the news. My congratulations go out to who ever the writer(s) are on the theme they picked.
  
  SOOOOOOOOO, this gives me the freedom to post my rock theme which most of you know I really really really really loved.

  IMHO I hope the producers of the show decide to go back to the rock thing for 2007 but who knows, perhaps the rap theme will be great."
