Rev Morpher Handle Has No Locking Device

Reb Morpher - Engine Cell
Key Compartment Open

Green Ranger's Engine Cell
Key

Linear Review
So here we have the Rev
Morpher, the Morpher used by the Green & Black Rangers.
This Morpher is designed off that of a normal Shifting Device in a Vehicle. The Morpher measures 5 1/2 inches long, 1 7/8 inches wide and about an inch thick. The Mopher comes with a wrist strap, much like those from the Jungle Fury line. Only this time, the strap is big enough to fit any wrist from child to full grown adult without a problem.
The Rev Morpher comes with two different Engine Cell Keys. The first is the Green & Black Ranger's Morph Key and the other is the Green Ranger's Engine Cell Key. Each of the two keys will activate different sounds in the Morpher.
To open the compartment for the keys, you pull the lid up and towards you. It is held shut by two short numbs. Insert you Engine Cell Key, close the lid and you're ready to play.
Let's start with the Morph Key. Once it is put in place and the lid locked, you'll begin to hear a strong engine revving sound. Shift the Morph Lever up and you'll hear a general voice say "Power Ranger, Powering Up!" and then the Morphing Sequence Sounds will occur. After that, if you shift the Morpher Lever up, you'll go through three different vehicle horn honks. The first being the Green Ranger's Zord, the second is the Black Ranger's Zord and the last being the Green & Black Ranger's Gator Zord. To do the Morph Sequence Sounds again, you have to open the lid, snap it back down and then press shift the Morph Lever up again.
Moving on, when you place the Green Ranger's Engine Cell Key into place and lock it in, you'll begin hearing a strong motor start, followed by another normal revving sound. Then a sound of a vehicle speeding along will occur for a few seconds, shift & hold the Morph Lever up to then activate the vehicle stopping sound. To start this process again, shift the Morph Lever up.
Now about the Morph Lever, it does not lock itself down when it's not being used. Instead it just flaps there. If you punch with your left first, or hold your left arm down, the lever with fall down as well, though not shifting & causing sounds to occur.
Other Engine Cell Keys can be placed in the Cell Shift Morpher. Red, Blue & Black Ranger's do the same as the Green Rangers. The Yellow Ranger's Key does absolutely nothing. The Cell Shift Morpher's Morph Key does the same sounds as the Rev Morpher Morph Key.
The sounds in the Morpher are not that loud, but it is louder than the Cell Shift Morpher. And it appears that the speaker doesn't even have a clear slot for the sounds to escape.

Kids

I think kids will like this Morpher. The Morph Lever not locking into place may bother a few, but probably not many kids. They'll enjoy getting more Engine Cell Keys to play with, as well as being able to have the Morpher of the Green & Black Rangers.
Collectors

For collectors, this Morpher isn't as good a transition as the Cell Shift Morpher is. It's not really the size that hurts this Morpher, but the Morph Lever. The fact that if you move your left wrist or arm, that lever is going to fall down and not stay in place where it should. That just really hurts this Morpher for collectors. Granted it is nice that the wrist strap will fit most all adults. Also, like the Cell Shift Morpher, there are no voices of the vehicles. And it's missing some usual paint details.

I think the Rev Morpher is okay, again that lever issue is a big one for me. I like the wrist strap and all the different sounds and features to it, but it just doesn't have the same appeal to me as the Cell Shift Morpher.
