Linear Review
Good grief how long has
it been since we've gotten a normal Megazord release? The easy answer is
TOO LONG. Well we finally are now started to see the ValveMax, Mach &
PaleoMax Megazords released. I will be reviewing the ValveMax &
PaleoMax Megazords once I can find them in my area.
All right, as everyone should all ready know, the Mach Megazord is comprised of the "Falcon" Zord, Tiger Jet & Whale Zords. The Falcon & Tiger Jet are kinda smaller than I expected, but they still look really good. The best though is the Whale Zord. I just love his size and appearance. There are not any wheels on the bottoms of the Zords for them to roll on a surface. They still have all their main details though. Yes the Falcon Zord's propellers do spin manually. Also the Whale Zord can change into it's Burst / Attack Mode, I just forgot to take a picture of that mode. I'll try and get that picture added in the coming weeks.
Combining the Zords to form the Mach Megazord is really simple. Just a few changes in items on the Falcon & Tiger, and then some twists and turns for the Whale and you've got the Mach Megazord.
The Mach stands about the same height as the High Octane and ValveMax Megazords. The Wings on the back to keep it from being able to be placed flat against a wall. The only real poseable parts are the arms that can move with their normal ratcheted joints.
Again, even more fun is had when you combine High Octane, ValveMax and Mach together to form the SkyRev Megazord. I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of these bigger formations before the season started, but these toys have really changed my opinion. The SkyRev looks GREAT. Getting the Falcon, Tiger & Whale Zords connected is pretty easy. You have some very slight difficulty getting the Falcon & Tiger Jet Zords to snap into place on the shoulders. They are able to connect via flip over connectors placed on the bottom on the two Zords. I do have to say that once the SkyRev is formed, that's it, you can't move the arms, as they end up being blocked by the "wings" of the Whale Zord on the back.
It comes with the Whale Zord's Engine Cell key. The Falcon & Tiger Jet's key compartments are on the back of the Zords, while the Whale Zord's compartment is basically on his underbelly.
Overall, this a really a great Megazord in the RPM collection.

Kids

Kids should really get a kick out of this Megazord. It has great playability alone, and even more with the other Megazords in the RPM line.
Collectors

Collectors will enjoy this Megazord. There is nothing I see that this Megazord is lacking, all the main details are there and this really is a good buy for collectors. Everything you could want from the Mach Megazord is here.

I love the Mach Megazord. The Whale Zord is of course my favorite of the three. I'm always split on whether to display it as just the Mach Megazord, or have it combined to form SkyRev. Honestly, I fully believe that Bandai America has done a better job this year on the Zords than Bandai Japan did. I am going to be MUCH happier having a complete RPM Ultrazord that will have only cost me about $100, whereas had I imported from Japan, I would have sunk over $1000 for the same thing, to just have it be a bit bigger and have some fancy sound chips. Big whop. I love these Bandai America RPM Megazords, and I can't wait to have my collection complete.
